Become a Volunteer

The American Red Cross of Morgan/Lawrence County would like to provide you with a rewarding volunteer experience, whatever your schedule.

It is our commitment to serve others and carry on a lifetime of Red Cross tradition. Our volunteers are the backbone of this organization. Everyday the Red Cross is fulfilling vital responsibilities all over the world made possible by volunteers like you. Several of the services provided by the American Red Cross include:

  • Disaster Response for victims experiencing flooding, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires and other disasters forcing people from their homes and businesses.
  • Blood Supply for millions who will need blood for surgeries, car accidents, transfusions and other needs.
  • Armed Forces Emergency Services, delivering urgent family messages to men and women in the service, one every 22 seconds.
  • Training volunteers in CPR, swimming and other health and safety skills.

By becoming a Red Cross Volunteer, you can contribute in several ways, learning lifesaving skills, giving hope in times of desperation, and lending a hand to those trying to put their lives back together. Everyone has something to offer, all ages and from all walks of life. For more information, contact Tammy Burks at 256-353-4891 or email tburks@morglawredcross.org.
