Online Background Checks are required for all volunteers and employees of the American Red Cross. MyBackgroundCheck.com is the chosen vendor and has a great professional reputation for maintaining high security. Your social security numbers are encrypted so that no one, including the chapter, will be able to view your information. Your background check will be paid for by the local Red Cross Chapter.

Once you have completed the volunteer application and your background check has been approved, the Red Cross will provide the necessary training for you to get started as a volunteer.

To register as a Red Cross Volunteer, please download an application or come by our office. After completing the application, we will need to set up an appointment for an interview and background check:

• Adult (age 19 & up)

• Youth (age 13 – 18) younger by special permission only
