Pandemic Flu

This presentation differentiates between various flu terms, discusses the likelihood of a pandemic outbreak, and teaches how simple it is to prepare a family.
Pandemic Flu for Business
Tailored to help HR professionals as well as strategic planners manage staff issues and ensure that business plans and operating modes take in to account the various aspects of a pandemic situation so that a business can continue operations. Whether you are responsible for a thousand employees or a handful, knowing how a pandemic flu epidemic might effect your employees can be essential in ensuring smooth functioning during such an event as well as how to recover afterward.
Family Disaster Preparedness
The core of the Red Cross’ efforts to raise the country’s level of readiness, family preparedness is often an aspect of disaster planning that gets overlooked. Discover how very easy, inexpensive, and important a family disaster plan can be. Learn how to get your family back together after a disaster related separation, how to help provide for them if basic necessities of life are suddenly unavailable, and how to give them the coping skills to take care of their own needs.
Red Cross History and Mission
This course is good for anyone who just wants to know more about the Red Cross. From our early days with Clara Barton, through the rapid growth we experienced as a result of two World Wars, and into today’s efficient, effective corporate structure — gain an appreciation for the people who make our efforts possible, the everyday volunteers!
Masters of Disasters
An approved curriculum based approach to teaching disaster preparedness, MOD brings in elements of physical sciences, math, geography, and chemistry, to give students an in-depth understanding of the forces at work in disaster situations. MOD is currently being taught in area schools and through the Boys and Girls Clubs in our area.
